My cousin and my Aunty came over.

Have you ever had family over that you haven’t seen in years?

Just before the holidays, my cousin and my auntie came from Christchurch to see my Gran and the Celebration of the Arts show.

When they came, we were getting ready for the show in the Senior Citizens’ hall. I saw them in there as well because they were looking for the toilet. I hid from them, so did Emily.

They only stayed for a bit of the show because Brooke (my cousin) got bored. She probably also got fidgety.

After the first show, we went back to school and then at 3:00 I went home.. I couldn’t have any proper afternoon-tea because my cousin was putting all of the popcorn into cupcake cases that she found in my playroom.

First, Brooke was leaving me out and saying I couldn’t play with her.
Next, she wouldn’t leave me alone. I went into my Granny May’s room to have some quiet time, but she found me.

She wouldn’t let me play by myself and when the house was quiet, she would yell “DO YOU LOVE ME?”.
She was very loud and so was Aunty Seanna.

When she left, life was back to normal and the house was very quiet.

It was nice to have them over, but it was also nice to have our house back to normal.
