Beach ED

Hi, I’m Sam and i am going to tell you about me, our class and room 19’s class going to the beach. We went to paekakariki beach and I saw two rip’s.

On the way to the beach Me, Dylan, Ngaire and Ethan Sat next to each other and played iSpy. When we got there we had to go inside and they talked for a bit and then we got to check out all their equipment And george layed on this thing for if you hurt your back. There was lots of cool stuff we looked at.

Then we had morning tea and then we went out onto the sand and we played some games. We played seaweed and some relays. For the relays first we did normal running, next we did it with a rescue floaty toy, After We had two people running at a time with the rescue floaty like we were rescuing then, lastly we did it with the rescue floaty and flippers. It was hard with the flippers but at half way i got the hang of it. After we played the games we watched a safety movie for the beach and it was funny. Then we did some sun smart stuff with the rules to use on the beach.

We had lunch and finally we got to play in the beach. At first we ran to one side and that is when i saw one of my rips i told you about and we came back and the parents and teachers had made a ring for us to go in. We had races around the ring and then we played around and there were some big waves that we rode on. On the way back I saw that other rip.
