MARAE VISIT

On Friday the 25th of october we went to the kapiti college marae to learn about maori protocols and  maori legends.

we all were standing outside the marae when we heard the first calling we all started to walk forwards then miss lake responded with her call and then we stopped  another call from the first calling i could just see them we were all surrounded by the rest of the syndicate people.

We finally got in we had to hongi a long line of people and then a speaker stood up and said hare mai hare mai hare mai. then matua poura saida   good speech in maori mainly  because i was like the only one who could  understand it. In te rao. and then Matua poura gave a speech after that Marcus,Dean and Manaaki said a speech all in te rao.

After that we went over to split up into two groups one of the groups got  a tour and  the other groups was learning  kapiti college haka there was a competition to see which group could do it the greatest  my group won and we got the prize!!!! to.
