     Marae Visit report
On Friday the 25th of October Te Aramoana from waikanae school went to Kapiti College Marae to learn the maori protocols.

The Te Aramoana syndicate was welcomed mrs lake responded. Then the syndicate had to take off their shoes to go into the house. On the way in then they had to hongi the college students and a few adults they all sat down.

Then Matua Paora said  a big speech that was all in maori When he was done he explained what he was talking about in english. After he was done  the Kapiti College people did a waiata. Then three boys from Waikanae school they were Manaaki, Dean and Marcus they did a speech for Kapiti College. After that three girls from Waikanae school got everyone up for a school  waiata.

After they had morning tea and a little play time for the kids. Kapiti College performed a haka. Then performed a haka that we had to learn, then Te Aramoana was broken into two groups. One group had to learn how to do the haka and the other group learnt the history of the marae.

When they were leaving Kapiti College did a farewell haka.that day waikanae school students learnt the maori protocols.
