“Chalking The Court!”

It was a steaming hot day and Mr Corlett brought us to the court and in his hand was a whole pile of chalk I then wondered what he was taking us to but then I realized… that he was taking us to do drawing with chalk for the Waikanae School arts trail.

When we had our chalk Mr C picked 6 or 7 people to do body art and Ioana outlined me but it was her first time so I didn't look that flash and when I did Ioana I was even worse!! I asked Mr C if he could fix mine up so that my head wasn't so big and when he did it looked a million times better. So after that Ioana and I made five more body drawings and they all looked way better then the first ones we did but there were fat ones and skinny ones short ones and tall ones.

After drawing our 6th one we gave up and did some firework ones with Mr C. Then when we were doing that Charlie climbed the wall and did a firework up there so everyone started to join in, we had a lot of fun. That is until Mr C called us to do some cleaning of the court because there were some bad words drawn and written.

It was fun but it got even hotter later on, we were exhausted so I asked Mr C if we could go back to class so we came back to class and that is how and when I wrote this story. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
