Scene: Luke and Alex are sitting on the couch playing playstation when Lily and Jade walk in.
Lily: Have you seen dad luke, I need him to get our magic box from down in the bassment. Me and Jade want to try it out.
Luke: No, he said he was going to see his friend Jack and they were going to go fishing today.
Lily: Ok, what about mum?
Luke: You just missed her, she just left to go to the supermarket.
Lily: Oh, um, ok
Alex: Why don’t you go and get it your self.
Lily: We don’t know where it is because dad put it down there last Easter and said he would get it back after our little cousins left but he never did, but now we want to use it and I don’t know where it is.
Luke: Ok.
Luke: Why don’t you go and look for it.
Lily: We didn’t think of that, ok, lets go and see if we can find Jade.
Jade: Ok.
( Jade and Lily go down to the basement and start looking for the magic kit )
Jade: We have been looking for ages, where could it be?
Lily: It’s not in this box.
Jade: It’s not in this one ither? Where could it be!!
Lily: Lets ask Luke and Alex if they can help us.
Jade: Thats sounds like it should work better than what we are doing now.
Lily: Yeah, lets go
( Lily and Jade walk up the stairs and go into the living room )
Jade: What, where are they?
Lily: I don’t know, they should be around here somewhere, they don’t have their driving license yet anyway.
Jade: Wait I hear something, It’s coming from the back yard, lets go and see what they are doing!!
Lily: Ok
( Lily and Jade walk outside and look around for a bit. )
Jade: They don’t seem to be here but I was sure I heard something!
Lily: Lets go back inside
Jade:Ok.
( Lily and Jade go inside and find that the boys are in the kitchen eating the chocolate cake that Lily’s mum baked the night before )
Alex: Where have you guys been, we thought you were in the basement looking for that magic kit.
Luke: Why do you want that magic kit anyway?
Jade: Because we want to see what sort of tricks we can do with it.
Lily: Can you guys please help us find it, we have been looking for ages!
Jade: Yeah………….So can you?
Luke: Well, what do you think Alex, do you think we should help?
Alex: I don’t know, if they do something for us, then maybe I might help.
Lily: Ok, lets go.
( Lily, Luke, Alex and Jade walk down the stairs and into the basement to go and look for the magic kit. They spread out and start looking for it. )
Luke: There is a lot of dust down here, I mean look at this.
Alex: Yeah……… wow…...guys come and look at this!
Lily: What is it?
( They all walk over to where Alex is standing.)
Jade: What is it Alex, Where is it?
Alex: Look at this dust……...it’s…...White!
Luke: Wow, That is freaky, i’m sure that it’s not supposed to be like that.
Lily: I have never seen white dust before!
Luke: Maybe it has something to do with the light or something?
Jade: I don’t think so Luke, it looks pretty real.
Alex: What do you think has happened to the dust, but it isn’t much of a big deal, it’s just dust,not us.
lily: We better tell someone.
( The front door opens and then slams shut again.)
Luke: Mum is home, well I think it is her, it could be dad but it is someone so lets go and tell them.
( All four of them ran up the stairs and ran into the living room. Lilys and Luke’s mum is in the kitchen putting away groceries.)
Lily: Mum!!
Mum: Yes, what is it?
Luke: Mum there is some dust in the basement!!
Mum: Of course there is, how long has all that stuff been in the basement.
Jade: No it’s not just dust, it’s white dust Mrs. Falaniko!
Mum: What? Guys stop it i’m not in the mood to have jocks on me!
Lily: Mum we are not kidding, there is really white dust in the basement. Look, we will show you!
( All four of them drag Mrs. Falaniko into the basement and take her to the spot where they found the white dust.)
Alex: See, we told you that there is was white dust here.
Mum: Oh my gosh…………I see what you are doing, you are doing something with the light to make the dust seem like it is white, that is very clever.
lily: Mum we are not joking, touch it then, go on touch it!!
( Mrs. Falaniko touches the dust and moves it around. After a while she realises that they are not joking.)
Mum: We have to tell someone, this is very weird.
( 2 weeks later dad Mr. Falaniko is sitting on the couch reading the newspaper, Mrs. Falaniko is in the kitchen making breakfast and the four kids are sitting on the floor playing a board game.)
Dad: Look at that, there is another article about us in here. That is the 5oth article have seen since, owww about 2 weeks ago.
lily: Well actually it is the 53rd article dad.
Dad: 50th 53rd, who cares, it is around the same number anyway.
Mum: lunch is ready guys and it is getting cold, you can finish that game after lunch.
Dad: What is for lunch anyway?
Mum: It is your guys favorite, pies, chips and a nice green salad so hurry up and eat it.
Luke: I start when we come back.
Jade: Ok
Dad: Hurry up slow pokes, lunch is waiting for us.
( All four of them get up from the board game and go and sit at the table. )
Luke: I wonder how long Mr. Huff will be in hospital for?
Dad: He will be out this afternoon and will come and see us before he goes home.
Luke: Oh
Mum: I still can’t believe that really happened and that we are famous now for just doing that.
( That afternoon Mr. Huff rings the doorbell and all six of them come to the door. )
Dad: Mrs. Huff how nice to see you.
Mum: Yes, very nice indeed. Come in, come in.
( Mrs. Huff enters the house and they all walk into the living room. )
Mrs. Huff: I just want to thank you for what you did for me, it was a life saver, literally.
Dad: It was all these kids and their mischief.
Mrs. Huff: How did you kids find it anyway?
Jade: Me and Lily were in the basement looking for a magic kit and just found it.
Luke: Oww, not so fast, Alex actually found it because they asked us to help look for it.
Mrs. Huff: Well how ever you guys found it, I thank you for it, it saved my life and lots of other people that had it to.
Dad: You are very welcome.
Mrs. Huff: Well I thank you all very much, that white dust stuff cured my cancer and I don’t have that coff that I had for years and years. It was really amazing hearing the news.
Mum: Would you like a drink Mrs. Huff ?
Mrs. Huff: No thank you, I am fine, well actually glass of water would be nice thank you.
Mum: I will be right back then.
( Mum leaves the room then comes back with a glass of water and hands it to Mrs. Huff. )
Mrs. Huff:( After having a good long drink ) Thank you that was very refreshing but I must be off now, my husband will be wondering where I am by now, thank you and see you around.
Dad: Ok, see you, bye.
Mum: See you at book club on Monday then.
Mrs. Huff: Yes, see you then, bye.
( Mrs. Huff leaves and so do Jade and Alex.)
Mum: Time for bed you two, it is getting late.
Lily: Ok mum, good night.
( All four of them leave and go to bed.)
Mum: ( Yelling from her bedroom) Before I forget, Mr . Collen is coming tomorrow with his wife to say hello so please make sure the house is tidy before they come!! Night.
